WHO is behind Precedence Technologies Ltd?Dr. Stephen BorrillDirector and Principal EngineerStephen is the Managing Director of PTL. He was responsible for the development of the successful Xemplar Matrix Network Computer solution which include a full cross-platform Internet/intranet server solution with easy management tools, remote management, powerful NCWorks software, web-based email and flexible, programmable front ends. Stephen was a founder member of the Xemplar Technical Support team, joining Xemplar from Acorn. The PTL team have been working on educational NC solutions virtually full-time since 1996; no other company has such experience. PTL works with a number of partners, all of whom have proven experience in specifying, selling and installing mixed platform networks.Stephen is also the developer of MelIDI, the leading MIDI sequencing package for Acorn RISC OS computers. Phil ReevesSupport and Development EngineerPhil Reeves comes from a long association with the Acorn platform and firm background in PC, Acorn and network support. His previous job was at Reflex Electronics where he supported the Precedence network computer systems as well as a number of other products.Stuart PayneWeb Development EngineerStuart has been a software engineer for many years and combines a solid understanding of modern programming techniques with a flair for graphics and interface design. At Iota Software, he wrote TouchType and The Complete Animator; two products which still sell extremely well. He later worked at Xemplar (alongside Stephen) as Developer Liaison during which he promoted multi-platform development (MacOS, Windows, RISCOS). After leaving Xemplar, he became the Senior Software Engineer at Active Hotels, a company that also contracted Precedence for consultancy work.We are very pleased to have Stuart working for us; we can now focus more on our Web development and consultancy. In his spare time, Stuart runs NiceCupOfTeaAndASitDown.com Neil Farnham-SmithBusiness Development ManagerAs well as running his own company (Surftec) who sell and support Precedence products, Neil is also responsible for the development of new business opportunities for Precedence Technologies through resellers and other distributors.Russell McDonnellSecretaryRussell used to work for Acorn Computers as a hardware production manager and was involved in the development of the NC as we know it. He also worked for Xemplar developing the documentation and software testing of the Network Computer solution that was the precursor to many of our products.Details on other staff to be added later... |
